TIME TO ACT! is proposing a series of platforms to engage people to express their views on climate change. The first project, Climate Dreams presents:
1. Climate Dreams Box – Installations in high traffic locations with the purpose to engage the traveling public in the campaign to raise awareness about the effects of climate issues for human life on the planet. Provoking people to engage in changing patterns of consciousness for the future of humanity. Questions of the drivers of global warming and the degradation of our environment should trouble us in this experience. Inviting people to share their ideas about the effects of the climate emergency and their dreams for the Earth in a way that’s relevant to them.The goal is to engage the public with climate action through social media filters. The filters, available on the App installed inside the Climate Dreams Box, will place the participant in an emergency scenario linked to the climate issue, such as in a forest fire, melting ice that raises sea levels, air pollution and extreme heat. The participant will have 15 seconds to communicate his or her vision on what could stop the advance of climate change. Climate Dreams Boxes can be installed in museums, organizations, companies, or institutions.
2. Climate Dreams Collection of Social Media Filters – The proposal addresses several themes within the climate crisis. The objective is to engage the public with climate action through the Climate Dreams Collection of Social Media Filters. The filters, available on TikTok, Instagram, in our Climate Dreams Box and on our soon to be released Climate Dreams App, places the participant in an emergency scenario linked to the climate issue, such as in a forest fire, melting ice that raises sea levels, air pollution and extreme heat. The participant will have a period of time to communicate his or her vision on what could stop the advance of climate change. The social media filters will be available at the soon to be released Climate Dreams App.
3. Climate Dreams Video Installation – A 10 minute immersive video room raises awareness about the climate emergency inspiring viewers to act and create change.
Time To Act searches for ways to broaden this awareness, an attitude for paradigm changes. The Climate Dreams Box installations, the Climate Dreams Collection of Social Media Filters and the Climate Dreams Video installation give us the desire to change our standard of consumption. It makes participants think about life through our positive contribution.
TIME TO ACT! Sights and Sounds of the Anthropocene
The proposal is to bring a contemporary form of education, impactful audiovisual experiences, about the consequences of climate change to the city of São Paulo, where the museum is located, the largest city in Latin America and one of the largest in terms of population in the world.
With documentaries, an immersive room and interactive expression filters, the exhibition seeks to make changes in behavior for the fundamental participation of each individual in the slowdown in global warming and in the local reality of the city that suffers from air pollution, flooding and disorderly urbanization.
